Rose Festival Chandigarh 2022
Rose Festival Chandigarh is one of the most famous and prominent events of Chandigarh. This year 2022, the 50th edition of this famous festival was celebrated. Last year due to COVID 19, guidelines, the event was not organized.
The three days mega-festival started on 25th February 2022 and was concluded on 27th February 2022 amid much fanfare. Like every year, the Rose Festival was organized at Zakir Hussain Rose Garden in Sector 16, Chandigarh. The event had wide coverage in media and many event photographers in Chandigarh were part of the festival.
Thousands of people visited the festival on all three days and witnessed many cultural events which were captured by Stories By Radhika – the best event photographer in Chandigarh. People from Chandigarh and nearby areas had a gala time at this year’s Rose Festival as it is one of those events which is jointly organized by many cultural organizations and the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh.
Last year there was just a symbolic celebration without any celebrations. But this year it was celebrated with full glory. The Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Sh. Banwari Lal Purohit inaugurated the Rose Festival.
The drum-beating ceremony, folk dance performances, puppet show, magic shows and musical evenings were the main attractions of the festival. Artistes from Govardhan and Mathura and Rajasṭhan presented some awesome cultural dance performances.
A lucky draw was held and around 300 attractive prizes were distributed among the winners. The major miss was the flower competition and the famous helicopter ride. Due to COVID 19 pandemic, these activities were not included. The golden jubilee edition of the Rose Festival concluded on a high note with many long-lasting memories etched on our minds and hearts.
